SQL Server 2025 RC0
Our first topic was Microsoft’s release of SQL Server 2025 RC0. The timing of this release puts us in line for an official release of SQL Server 2025 during the conference season—like, say, Microsoft Ignite in mid-November.
Based on this timing, there’s probably going to be an RC1 and they might be able to squeeze in an RC2 if so desired, although prior releases of SQL Server didn’t always have an RC2 release.
I also spent a fair amount of time talking about what’s in RC0.
Stack Overflow 2025 Developer Survey Results
The other topic of the night involved running through Stack Overflow’s 2025 developer survey results. The data they collect is very interesting, but I had a hard time piecing together what some of the visuals actually meant.
